Perrysburg won the league title a year ago and return some key pieces that could help them see a repeat outcome. Here is a look at some of the top prospects in the NLL.

Perrysburg
[player_tooltip player_id='141686' first='Avery' last='Adamski'] is a Toledo commit and return following a 1st team all-conference selection last season. She is provides a lot of stability with her ball control and defense as she average 5.3 digs per set last season. [player_tooltip player_id='141688' first='Sara' last='Pahl'] was also a 1st-team selection and is this team's top returning offensive threat following her 3.4 kills per set output last fall. Junior Wrigley Takats should see increased offensive output this season and was a big defensive factor as she had 77 total blocks in 2021. Giana Frayer is their setter and had a terrific season a year ago with 749 total assists and a 2nd-team all-conference honor.

Northview
One of the top attackers in the Ohio senior class is [player_tooltip player_id='141687' first='Kamryn' last='Hunt'], a 1st-team all-conference and Division I all-Ohio honorable mention selection last season. The Ohio commit should once again carry a big offensive load for the Wildcats as she averaged 3.8 kills per set last season on 887 total swings. Hunt had 15 kills and 17 digs in their recent 3-0 win over Avon to help get their season off on the right foot. She will continue to get support from [player_tooltip player_id='153894' first='Sydney' last='Hires'] (12 kills versus Avon), this team's second best offensive option last year at 2.3 kills per set. With increased offense from rising juniors [player_tooltip player_id='152116' first='Natalie' last='Kerchevall'] and Claire Smith, this team could create more balance and become more difficult to defend overall. Kerchevall (7 kills, 23 assists versus Avon) and Hannah Schoen shared the setting duties last season and will likely do the same again in 2022.

Springfield
Two top prospects in Ohio play for Springfield and should once again be a big factor in their effort towards a potential league title. Senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='141689' first='Corrie' last='Brown'] was a 1st-team all-conference selection last season and began the season guiding the Blue Devils to a 3-0 win over Findlay with 26 total assists and five kills. Her top offensive threat is fellow 1st-team selection [player_tooltip player_id='139281' first='Gretchen' last='Sigman'] (17 kills versus Findlay) who averaged 3.8 kills per set in 2021. Keep and eye on juniors Alison Wingate and Becca Dauer to help generate additional offense to balance Sigman's workload. If they can produce some point scoring then Springfield could be in the mix for a league title.

Anthony Wayne
With a season opening performance of 12 kills versus Central Catholic, Ava Horn is already showing why she will assume the role of top offensive option for the Generals. A 2nd-team all-conference honoree last season, she is coming off of season averages of 2.5 kills and 3.3 blocks per match. Senior Paige Ludwig returns as the setter and was also a 2nd-team selection as she amassed 595 total assists. Sophomore Ryan Dzierwa was a 3rd-team all-conference selection last season and totaled a team leading 14 digs in their recent opening match.
