We updated our 2023 player rankings this week and its definitely one of Michigan's top classes in some time.

Along with looking at the stock-risers and the new additions, we started taking a deeper dive into each position's rankings.

We turn to the middles today, which is a crop as strong as the state has seen. The top 10 is filled with Division 1 commits already and some that could really make a mark at the next level.

1. [player_tooltip player_id='66325' first='Abigail' last='Reck'], Northville/Legacy

Reck has been a dominant force on the club scene over recent years and will land herself at Northeastern next fall. In the prep season, she can play outside or middle and still maintain her dominance.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='66291' first='Laurece' last='Abraham'], Country Day/Legacy

The Yale commit is a very explosive player at the net. Her attacks get harder and harder to stop with each passing day. Abraham also has good blocking instincts and plays with a lot of confidence on the floor.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='66293' first='Kennedy' last='Arp'], South Christian/FaR Out

A Valparaiso commit, Arp has found herself working up the rankings list over the last year. She's been a big difference maker for South Christian in a crowded Grand Rapids volleyball scene.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='66302' first='Olivia' last='Gardner'], Dakota/Legacy

Committed to Loyola-Chicago, Gardner is part of a talented group at Dakota that has potential for great things this fall. Gardner stands 6'2” and plays even longer. She's got great instincts and timing with her setters.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='66334' first='Neele'ge'' last='Sims'], Corunna/Michigan Elite

Sims has battled through a lot of adversity and keeps adding to her game. The Missouri State commit is a middle at the next level, but has shown all-around skills while shouldering a big load during the prep season.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='108715' first='Kam' last='Burbridge'], Grand Haven/MVA

Burbridge is sure to be scooped up soon at the college level. She's grown by leaps and bounds as a player in the last 12 months and can't be stopped. Burbridge is explosive with a very quick first step. She can play well above her opponents.

7. [player_tooltip player_id='140479' first='Reilly' last='Zegunis'], Zeeland East/FaR Out

A Wright State commit, Zegunis is also making more and more of a name for herself in recent months. She's got exceptional form on her attacks and her footwork keeps her in great blocking position.

8. [player_tooltip player_id='66321' first='Aubreigh' last='Oswald'], Lowell/FaR Out

Oswald has made a lot of strides since a knee injury caused her to miss a lot of time in previous years. At 6'2”, Oswald plays a very imposing game offensively and defensively. She keeps herself active and aggressive at the nt.

9. [player_tooltip player_id='66327' first='Makenzie' last='Ritsema'], Grand Rapids Christian/FaR Out

Ritsema has a chance to really shine this prep season as she moves into a bigger role with the GRC offense. She's been able to push herself against the best for years and now can show what she has learned.

10. [player_tooltip player_id='140491' first='Paige' last='Sanders'], Grandville/FaR Out

A Grand Valley commit, Sanders is part of a long front row for Grandville. She's been able to raise her game to push the Bulldogs to playing a very up-tempo offense, and she's also very quick defensively.
