Union Local (Belmont)
The Jets are having a terrific season as they are currently 16-0 overall and 4-0 in the Ohio Valley. They are ranked #4 in the most recent Division II state poll. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='169492' first='Torre' last='Kildow'], a 2nd team all-Ohio selection in 2021, is among the state's leaders offensively as she has already hammered over 300 kills in 2022 and is averaging 6.8 kills per set. She should surpass the 1,500 career kills mark within their next few matches. Kildow, an Ohio University commit, is 6'1, long, and elevates quickly off the floor. Her best offensive support comes from sophomore Olivia Wortman as the outside hitter is averaging two kills per set. Junior Julie Broussard leads the Jets defensively with 13.4 digs per match. Senior Kelly Gress is the setter and is dishing 10 assists per set and recently surpassed 1,100 assists for her career.

Mohawk (Sycamore)
At 13-0 overall, Mohawk has dropped just nine sets on the season. They are also 8-0 with a two-match lead in the Northern 10 conference standings. In the middle is 6'3 Emily Klopp who is the team leader offensively at 4.4 kills per set while contributing 3.1 blocks per match as well. She has good length and is tough to defend given her ability to contact high. Mia Miller is another good offensive option at 1.7 kills per set and leads the team in blocking at 3.2 per match. With over 200 assists apiece, sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='718926' first='Caitlin' last='Ogg'] and junior Molly Ward share the setting role. On 10/6 Mohawk will face conference foe Seneca East, the league's current second place team. The Braves won their earlier meeting 3-1 with Klopp terminating 20 kills.

State Setting & Attacking Leaders

[player_tooltip player_id='139272' first='Abby' last='Yoder'] - Kings
At 587 total assists this season, Yoder is averaging a career best 12.5 assists per frame as Kings currently sits atop the ECC standings. She has continued to prove herself as one of the best distributors in the state in her class, which stems back to guiding her club team to a 5th place finish in the 16 Open USAV national championships this past summer. She has a nice trio of arms in pins [player_tooltip player_id='114565' first='Sydney' last='Barrett'] and [player_tooltip player_id='222621' first='Ava' last='McIntyre'], and middle [player_tooltip player_id='114584' first='Elise' last='Marchal'], who are all heavy hitters and efficient in their work. Kings is currently 13-1 overall and ranked #14 in Division I.

Ashley Kefauver - Hamilton Township
Kefauver is the current leader in total kills with 327. The 5'7 senior is averaging 6.5 kills per set and recently terminated her 800th career kill. She has a career hitting efficiency of .208 while on the defensive side of the ball is averaging a career best 16.7 digs per match. In their recent 3-1 win over Fairfield Union she hammered a career best 36 kills on 85 swings for a .294 efficiency. At 5'7, she terminates through great court awareness and arm control in the air as she gets good lift and opens well to the ball, which allows her to swing through the full range of the opponent's court. The Rangers are 8-6 overall.
