*All tournaments are being held on September 8th.
LANCER INVITE
Brookfield Central will be hosting their Lancer Invite this weekend, and we’ve seen the pools and they are looking tough! Pool A has Neenah as the first seed, and they have previously matched up with Brookfield Central at the Joust with Neenah winning 2-1. Neenah has a dangerous combination with Addie Barnes(2019 Loyola Commit) swinging high on the outside, Tommy Albers (2019 – 5’9 – Setter – Not Committed) setting and proving to be a threat from behind the service line, and Kaitlyn Nelson (2019 – 5’9 – Middle Blocker – Not Committed) taking care of the net, while Kayla Kraus (2019 Loyola Commit) digs anything that gets past Nelson.
Meanwhile, you can find a rising Mukwonago team in Pool D, lead by Alanya Jansky (2019 – Eastern Michigan Commit) swinging from the outside, Nicole Pozorski (2020 – 5’8 – Setter/Right Side – Not Committed) putting pressure on from behind the service line and running the offense, Dru Henning (2020 – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Not Committed) shutting opposing hitters down, and Abby Gardner (2021 – 5’9 – Libero – Not Committed) running the defense.
A fun match-up in Pool D will be Mukwonago vs Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA). Unlike Mukwonago, DSHA’s main swing comes from the middle with Aly Larcheid (2019 – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Not Committed). Larcheid isn’t just a pretty swing because she is a work horse that can put up a great block as well. Jacque Stegmayer (2021 – 5’10 – Outside Hitter – Not Committed) scores from the service line, Sara Maslowski (2019 – 5’5 – Defensive Specialist – Not Committed) has been taking charge of defense, and Elizabeth Organ (2019 – 5’7 – Setter – Not Committed) runs the offense.

INDIAN TRAIL INVITE
Indian Trail (5-5) will be hosting Watertown (13-2), Bradford (10-7), Oak Creek (13-3), Badger (3-6), Kettle Moraine (5-4), Racine Horlick (0-4), and Wilmot Union (4-4). The favorite in this pool of participants may be Watertown, who has found success behind senior leadership in Brianne Korducki (2019 – 5’11 – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter – Not Committed) scoring not only in the front row but also from behind the service line, while Ashley Stas (2019 – 6’0 – Right Side/Middle Blocker – Not Committed) commands the net, and Sheridan Dettmann (2019 – 5’6 – Libero – Not Committed) is running the defense. But don’t forget about Isabelle Schauer (2020 – 5’7 – Setter – Not Committed), who runs a smooth offense and earned AVCA Wisconsin player of the week honors last week.
Jadyn DahlkeAUBURNDALE INVITE
This weekend Auburndale (6-3) will be hosting a number of teams including: Assumption (0-4), Columbus Catholic (5-1), Iola-Scandanavia (4-3), Mosinee (15-4), Pacelli (3-5), Prentice (14-1), Spencer (0-6), and Stratford (17-0). The clear favorite would be Stratford, who is looking for another run to state this year, but there could certainly be some challengers present at this tournament to give them their first loss. It’s no mystery that Stratford is built around the dominant Mazie Nagel (2019 – 5’10 – Outside Hitter – Not Committed), but they are also a threat at the service line with the likes of Mazie’s younger sister, Lauryn Nagel (2021 – Middle Blocker – Not Committed).
After graduating 1 middle, Mikayla Krall from 2018, Callie Lehman (2019 – 5’8 – Middle Blocker – Not Committed) has stepped up in a big way as the team’s leader in blocks. Krall’s younger sister, McKenna Krall, has stepped in to run the defense after the team’s defensive specialist graduated. While there have been changes down the middle of their court, the pins remain steady, including Jadyn Dahlke (2019 – Setter – Not Committed), who continues to run the tiger’s offense.
