Plenty of coaches are looking to increase the length of their team. Long arms, a wing span, being able to get that extra touch, to play well above the net, and finding ways to take up space. Over the past year I've seen a lot of athletes where their length at the net causes a lot of problem for opposing teams. For many of these athletes with length, they seem to get better with more training (strength and fundamentals). These athletes could be a steal and will translate well to the next level.

The progression of Wyma has been so fun to see over the past couple years. She has worked her way into being one of the top blockers in the state and has shown she can play on the right side or middle. Her block takes up plenty of space with her hands and positioning, but she has also really improved her offensive game being able to transition and score. She will team up with Notre Dame commit, [player_tooltip player_id='122475' first='Anna' last='Bjork'] and another rising 2024 athlete in [player_tooltip player_id='122468' first='Rylea' last='Alvin'] for Sting 17 Gold where this trio will bring plenty of physicality.

Length at the setter position - yes. [player_tooltip player_id='193202' first='Tori' last='Runyan'] runs a great offense and has some length to her game where she can block, attack, and get her attackers in position to score. Seeing her live at the state tournament showed that she knows how to command the court. Runyan has great hands, receiving the ball high and neutral. She has a lot of upside to her game where coaches definitely need to take a look at her heading into the 2023 club season.

Mohwinkle has the length and the power to go with her game. She had a big high school season and showed her versatility in being able to play multiple positions in the front row. With her dynamic skill set, she can score points from the outside and right side with quite the whip of an arm swing. She demonstrates plenty of physicality at the net with her block as well. This should be a big time club season for Mohwinkle.

I was able to watch Musial set for St. Charles East who had one of the top teams in Illinois' largest class. Extremely well trained, Musial has great feet, smooth hands, and a knack for the game. With her length and receiving the ball high she kept all of her attackers involved. She doesn't get too offensive, but is efficient when she does take it over on two. Watching her play, I thought of plenty of coaches who would love to have a setter like this on their roster.

I was able to watch Uhwat multiple times last club season for her Mission 16 Elite team. This outside hitter knew how to score points in a variety of ways. She has a high contact point and can put some pop on the ball. She can also pass and score from the backrow. This Mission team will stick together for their 17s year and will also add a top 2025 in [player_tooltip player_id='207810' first='Georgia' last='Watson'] to the roster. They could be turning some heads in the Great Lakes Region.

Class of 2024 - Right Side

Watch out for [player_tooltip player_id='181809' first='Madison' last='York'] this upcoming club season. Last year for the club season, she was long, and still pretty raw - now she has added a bunch of strength and a much more dynamic offense skill set. She might be the most physical blocker in the state in the right side. She's 6'3, left handed, and provides a whole lot of power. She is a force offensively and defensively. College coaches will see her this winter and that offer could be coming quick.
