Let’s first take a look at 7 of Wisconsin’s top producing setters from the 2019 recruiting class that are still available. College coaches, looking for another setter? Look no further!

From The Class Of 2019

Gabi Roemer – Little Chute (28-0)

Roemer is a 3-year varsity player and runs a 5-1 for Little Chute. Her main weapon is [player_tooltip player_id="10220" first="Hannah" last="Vanden Berg"] (2019 – Committed to Marquette), who averages almost 11 assists per set. Roemer also leads Little Chute from the service line with 45 aces. She will be a tough one to replace for the Mustangs.

Taylor Salmon – Janesville Craig (33-7)

Salmon runs a 5-1 for the Cougars and her go-to is Amanda Carlson (2019). She also poses a scoring threat from the service line, leading her team with 67 aces. Salmon recorded a season high 6 aces in early August. She also had a stellar match on Tuesday, recording a season high 51 assists in their 3-1 win over Middleton.

[player_tooltip player_id="33124" first="Madelyn" last="Kohn"] – 5’9 – Randolph (21-6)

Kohn is in her 3rd season on varsity, and this season her #1 swing is [player_tooltip player_id="33080" first="JoLea" last="Woreck"] (2019 – 6’1 – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter). She runs a 5-1 for the Rockets and averages almost 10 assists per set. Kohn had a stellar match on Tuesday, recording a season high 38 assists in their 3-0 win over Montello.

Morgan Harrison – 5’11 – Cedarburg (26-6)

Harrison has taken on a much bigger role for the Bulldogs this season. She runs a 5-1 and has plenty of weapons. Harrison runs an offense with the big guns of [player_tooltip player_id="56003" first="Kiara" last="Reinhardt"] (2020 – Committed to Creighton), [player_tooltip player_id="56009" first="Maddie" last="Barber"] (2020 – Committed to Villanova), and [player_tooltip player_id="81256" first="Aspen" last="Jankowski"] (2022 – 5’9 – Outside Hitter/Defensive Hitter). She does a great job of spreading the distribution to keep the opponent on their toes.

[player_tooltip player_id="10239" first="Kennedy" last="Muff"] – 5’10 – Westosha Central (26-8)

Muff has already earned AVCA Wisconsin player of the week honors, and they are well deserved. She is smooth on the court and a great distributor while running a 5-1. Muff has 2 main weapons in [player_tooltip player_id="10242" first="Laura" last="Shoopman"] (2019 – Committed to Oral Roberts) and [player_tooltip player_id="33054" first="Sierra" last="Lee"] (2019 – 5’6 – Outside Hitter/Setter/Right Side). She is also a strong server and has the 54 aces to prove it!

*Update Muff is committed to Flagler

Elizabeth Klein – 6’0 – Setter/Right Side – Catholic Central (28-7)

Klein is in her 2nd season running the offense for the Hilltoppers. She averages over 9 assists per set while running a 5-1. Together they average almost 8 kills per set, so it is safe to say they are Klein’s bread and butter.

[player_tooltip player_id="33064" first="Marissa" last="Gilbertson"] – 5’5 – Setter – Clayton (21-2)

Gilbertson is currently sitting at the 2,707 assist mark as we near the end of the regular season. She’s a 4th year varsity player that also leads the Bears with aggressive serving and 44 aces before heading into the post season.
