Sadie has stepped into the role as one of the core players for Dunbar this season, as she is suited to it. Stuart is not a hidden talent but a proven valuable talent. She is an imposing player at the net and plays with confidence that matches her size. She has a powerful swing that will bring the backrow to it’s knees and executes her block with perfect timing. She can put a kill down the seams like no tomorrow and connects with ball perfectly. She tips with excellent ball control and is a covers with good play off the net. She is a leader on the court and is a key piece for Dubar this year, she is a gamechanger on the court!

Stuart will be counted on to guide a young Bulldogs team this fall. She is especially tough on quicks with her size, arm swing and wrist snap. On defense, Stuart can block with the best of them. She mainly double blocks with teammates, but can block one-on-one. Stuart finds different ways to put balls down on solid defenders.

Stuart (pictured) is a sound middle blocker for the young Bulldogs to build around this fall. Stuart will be a handful in the front with her size and quick arm swing. Stuart makes a lot of things happen with the quicks, sending balls flying quickly toward holes. Sound defenders even have a hard time digging her up. Stuart had 239 kills, 14 solo and 75 assisted blocks last fall for Dunbar, helping the Bulldogs go 27-9, winning the 43rd District crown and finishing 11th Region runner-up.

Stuart (pictured) is as dominant a middle hitter in Lexington as anyone. Stuart generates a lot of power taking steps toward the net before the ball hits the setters hands. Stuart is especially tough on the shot hits in the middle such as quicks. If blockers do not get their hands on her hits, they go screaming to the floor. Stuart is also a sound blocker.

Sadie Stuart brought undeniable energy and intensity to the court, consistently communicating with her setter and keeping her team engaged. Her aggressive arm swing and quick snap created hard-driven attacks that were nearly impossible to dig. Stuart’s offensive power stood out! Focusing on closing blocks on both the left and right pins to eliminate gaps that hitters can exploit and pressing with her shoulders more effectively will make her an even more dominant net presence. Stuart’s raw power and athleticism make her a force to be reckoned with.

Hailing from Lexington’s Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Sadie Stuart Sadie Stuart 6'2" | MB Paul Laurence Dunbar | 2026 State KY has quickly emerged as a standout middle blocker. Ranked 42nd overall and 6th in her position. Stuart uses her height and timing to excel at blocking while delivering powerful offensive strikes. She is particularly effective with slide swings and precision attacks through tight spaces. Stuart demonstrates a keen court IQ. She knows when to swing for a kill and when to execute a controlled shot. As a rising junior, Stuart is expected to be one of the top middle blockers in Region 11 next season, and her continued development will be pivotal for Dunbar’s success.

A standout middle, Stuart excelled on both sides of the net. Her slide swings and precise blocking made her a force to be reckoned with this season for Dunbar.

Stuart does a great job using her size to time up things on blocks and is a valuable offensive weapon for the Bulldogs. She said it helps that setter Isabela Haggard Isabela Haggard 5'9" | S Dunbar | 2025 State #115 Nation KY does a great job communicating out there. Stuart has a solid slide swing and a tough swing in the creases. Start had 180 kills, 57 assisted blocks and 11 solo blocks entering action Saturday.

Sadie delivered the game-winning block and demonstrated her defensive abilities with 5 blocks, 8 kills, and 6 digs. Specifically, her critical plays and strong performance as a junior underscore her growing impact on the team.

Stuart can make an impact from multiple positions in the front row. A middle blocker/right side hitter, Stuart executes fast attacks regularly. A reliable hitter from the right side of the net, Stuart reads the opponent’s hitters to set up blocks accurately. Stuart can provide sets consistently in addition to blocking and hitting from multiple positions regularly.
