Class of 2023 1st Team All State – Outsides

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are proud to announce our Prep Dig All-State Teams.&nbsp; Our All-State players are considered to have played the best at their respective position THIS YEAR.&nbsp; Some of the athletes listed may have played multiple positions on the court, but we have chosen them for the positions that we think they excelled at the most.&nbsp; We watched tons of matches this year and covered a lot of athletes in order to determine who was the best of the best.&nbsp; All of the wonderful players made it very difficult to decide both nominees and who eventually won due to their performances.&nbsp; Please help us congratulate these winners of our prestigious All-State Awards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>1^st Team All State Selection:&nbsp; Outside</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='87528' first='Nayeli' last='Gonzalez'] [2023] 6-2 Outside (HS: Cornerstone Christian/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Iowa State University)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":221280,"width":206,"height":215,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2022/08/Nayeli-Gonzalez-scaled-e1661702310130.jpg?w=982" alt="" class="wp-image-221280" width="206" height="215" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nayeli is currently ranked as the 3^rd best overall prospect in the 2023 class in the entire state of Texas.&nbsp; She is also listed as the 30^th best overall prospect in the nation according to our national rankings.&nbsp; She plays at Cornerstone Christian High School and also the famed Alamo club program out of the San Antonio area.&nbsp; Our last article had stated the following about her, <em>“The amount of power that this young woman has in her entire body is amazing.&nbsp; She has been on a tear this year and has already tallied 573 kills on an amazing .377 hitting percentage.&nbsp; Cornerstone Christian has been listed as one of the top high school volleyball teams in the entire country and Nayeli is a huge reason why.&nbsp; Her offensive production has been stellar to say the least.&nbsp; She is currently 6^th in the entire state in scoring for seniors.”</em>&nbsp; She also added 117 total blocks, 9 digs and 8 aces.&nbsp; We watched Nayeli decimate every team that she went up against this year.&nbsp; Her school team is not part of any conference so they play an independent schedule consisting of a lot of traveling to tournaments both in Texas and to many other states.&nbsp; She was one of the main reasons why Cornerstone was ranked as one of the best school teams in the entire nation.&nbsp; I got to watch her in person this year and I am not sure there was a more dominant player.&nbsp; This is the reason why she has earned 1^st Team All-State for our publication.&nbsp; Please help us congratulate her on the honor.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>1^st Team All State Selection:&nbsp; Outside</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='176661' first='Bianna' last='Muoneke']&nbsp;[2023] 6-0 Outside (HS: Cy Ranch/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431166' first='Houston' last='Juniors']/Verbal: Texas A&amp;M)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"left","id":222261,"width":188,"height":223,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2022/08/Bianna-Muoneke-serving-scaled-e1661912600205.jpg?w=857" alt="" class="wp-image-222261" width="188" height="223" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bianna is currently ranked as the 11^th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.&nbsp; She stars on the outside for Cypress Ranch high school and also for the awesome [program_tooltip program_id='431166' first='Houston' last='Juniors'] program.&nbsp; I just profiled her with an article last month and here is what I stated, “<em>While I watched her at the Volleypalooza tourney, Miss Muoneke was stellar to say the least in every aspect of the sport.&nbsp; She had almost every spectator in awe of her amazing vertical with every attack.&nbsp; Just when her team needed it, she seemed to revive them with a power shot.&nbsp; The entire varsity team would be electrified with energy with every swing.&nbsp; She has been on a tear this year and has already tallied 810 kills on a whopping .401 hitting percentage.&nbsp; She has her team ranked in the top five in almost every publication's rankings.”</em>&nbsp; We watched this young lady in person and she was unstoppable on the pins.&nbsp; I love how she rises up off of the floor so effortlessly and unleashes fury on her opponents.&nbsp; She is so much more than a scorer, although, everyone sees that about her first.&nbsp; What true coaches understand about her game is how amazing of a defensive player she is.&nbsp; Her coach allows her to take up so much space in the back row because she has enormous range.&nbsp; She had 73 total blocks and also tallied 393 digs on the year, which kept her squad in every game.&nbsp;
