The St. Olaf commit stands around 5’10 but plays much bigger. With a high contact point and smart shot selection, she knows when to unload and when to find the corner. She’s a true six-rotation threat who also scores consistently from the service line.

Sobolewski is a pure point scorer. The Newman Catholic product brought her heavy arm to Wisconsin Ice 18 National, serving as a go-to outlet on the left pin. Sobolewski does a great job of mixing up her shots and finding deep corners when the power angle isn’t there. Beyond her attacking, she provided stability in the back row, proving she can handle the defensive workload of a high-level 18s player. When Wisconsin Ice needed a side-out, Sobolewski was often the one delivering the kill.

Camille Sobolewski Camille Sobolewski 5'10" | OH Newman Catholic | 2026 State WI is another athlete that has made quite a name for herself at Prep Dig Events.  She has been a key piece to her Wisconsin Ice program year in and year out.  She will score points from both pins and can be relied upon in serve receive. The next step for Sobolewski will be St. Olaf in Northfield, Minnesota – a D3 power house.  Sobolewski played in plenty of big matches for Newman Catholic out of Wausau, being one of the top players in D5. 

Sobolewski did not hesitate to start picking apart the Highland defense. She is using all the tools in her toolbox and does a great job with her response when making an error or being blocked. Her experience speaks volumes in her style of play.

Wausau Newman Catholic is a small school power in Wisconsin where they are traditionally playing the final weekend of the season.  Camille Sobolewski Camille Sobolewski 5'10" | OH Newman Catholic | 2026 State WI has been a major part to their state runner up and final four team the past two years. In her career, Sobolewski has tallied over 1300 kills and 129 blocks.  This season she is sitting at over 400 kills, a career best 4.8 kills per set, and hitting nearly .300.  Newman Catholic is ranked in the top five of D5 and will look to get back to Green Bay to finish their season at the state tournament.  Sobolewski is still uncommitted as to where she will play college volleyball, she would be a great steal for the next level. 

Camille makes a major impact no matter where she is on the court. She’s consistently reliable, whether she’s terminating at the net or digging up hard-driven balls in the back row, she keeps her team in system and in rhythm. A natural leader, Camille steps into any role when needed and delivers every time. She’s the kind of player you’ll definitely want to keep on your radar.

Sobolewski has a strong but long frame and has to be touching close to 10ft in her approach. She waits just long enough before taking a fast swing past the block and over the defender’s shoulder to pinpoint the deep line corner. Sobolewski can do magical things even when the ball seems to be out of reach. I swear she might have go-go-gadget arms that she deploys to get the ball and tap it back into the court. The best is when she sees an opening and just destroys the ball because she has such a high reach and wraps on top of the ball.

Camille is a high-flying pin hitter who is incredibly efficient on the court. She is tough to read and can earn points consistently both in and out of system. She brings intensity and competitiveness to the court. Camille is a great all-around athlete who can earn points in the back row. Her block and defense also set her apart from other athletes.

Sobolewski is coming off a big high school season for Newman Catholic where she was named 1st Team All State in D4 while her squad advanced to the D4 state semifinals.  She is an attacker that everyone needs to be aware of because she can score from any spot along the front line and will be an outlet in the backrow to score.  She has a heavy swing and isn’t afraid to use the block to her advantage.  This Wisconsin Ice 17 National team has played together for years and had a successful season in 2024 where they will look to build momentum in 2025. 

Camille is an efficient outside hitter. She plays to win and holds nothing back when she is on the court. She makes smart choices and can execute both in and out of system. Camille can also play six rotations and is an all-around energizer and impact athlete. She is an unstoppable force once she gets going.
