Recapping the Class C-2 State Tournament

<p>LINCOLN – As if rallying from down 14-11 in the fifth set against Stanton in the semifinals wasn't enough, Blue Hill came back from a 19-10 deficit in the fourth set to claim the Class C-2 state championship on Saturday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. </p>
<p>Blue Hill took a 25-16, 26-21, 14-25, 26-24 win over Hartington Cedar Catholic Saturday to win its first state volleyball tournament. Trailing 19-10 in the fourth, Blue Hill got a pair of kills from Madison Menke and one from Jaime Bonifas to pulled within 20-16.</p>
<p>A couple Blue Hill attack errors seemed to stymie the rally and put the Trojans up 22-16, but Blue Hill responded with a 6-0 run on the strength of four Hartington CC errors and kills by Kacey Allen and Emily Meyer to tie it at 22-22. </p>
<p>Two more Blue Hill errors have Hartington CC the lead at 24-22, but three straight errors by the Trojans gave Blue Hill its first match point and the Bobcats capitalized with a kill by Rylee Kohmetscher to win the title.</p>
