A very unselfish player. Last year Ava moved to outside for Warren County high school and earned All Region 3B player of the year. The Northern Virginia Daily rewarded her with co-player of the year. She played six rotations, finishing with 297 kills and 221 digs.

She returned to middle when playing travel ball for Blue Ridge . When playing middle she acts as an outside, putting the higher sets to the floor. She can hit the ball left or right from the middle. At times, Blue Ridge uses her in serve receive.

Like many Blue Ridge players, Ava also plays a pretty mean beach game. It enhances her all around game when playing indoor.
