Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2025 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. The Oklahoma sophomore class came into their own during this past high school season and showed that they belong at the elite level. We were happy to add so many new names to this list and think they have a very high ceiling to keep improving. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings through their play on the court. Please welcome them with open arms.
Gia McGrew Gia McGrew 6'1" | MB Mt. St. Mary | 2025 State OK [2025] 6-1 Middle (HS: Mount St. Mary/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Gia to the Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings. We are proud to announce that she is currently ranked as the 3rd best overall player in the 2025 class. Miss McGrew plays volleyball at Mount St. Mary High School and also for the Oklahoma Charge volleyball club. The one word that comes to mind when we watch Gia play is power. She was a stud standout in Florida before transferring to our wonderful Sooner state. And really not much has changed except her zip code. This young lady hits the ball with so much power that I almost feel sorry for the ball when she makes contact. She makes everyone in the vicinity of the court she is playing on turn their head with every BOOM that comes out of each attempt. It can easily sound like the fourth of July in the gym if Gia is on the attack. What I love the most about her play is the fire that she exudes during celebrations with her teammates. It is contagious to every teammate and spectator and definitely helps keep momentum on her squad’s side. We are proud to have her in our rankings and look forward to covering her for the next few years. Please help us congratulate her on achieving the honor of being listed in the top 3.
Emry Brown Emry Brown 6'1" | OH Bartlesville | 2025 State OK [2025] 6-1 Outside/Right Side (HS: Bartlesville/Club: Ultimate Performance VBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Miss Brown has made the Rankings. Emry is currently ranked as the 15th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings. She plays for Bartlesville High School and will play club for the Ultimate Performance Volleyball program. She is a lengthy six rotation outside attacker who excels on the offensive end. Being one of the kill leaders for her varsity program as a sophomore bodes well for a great high school career. She could easily become an offensive juggernaut that Bartlesville needs in order to be super competitive. Her length can bother opposing attackers as she presses over the net to seal it. I love how she gets to a very deep touch point and uses a four-step approach to unleash bombs against her opponent. As long as she has that lightning quick whip of an arm, she will be a scoring threat that teams must game plan for. We are proud to have her listed amongst the state’s best players as she truly deserves to be listed. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on the coveted Oklahoma State Rankings list.
Vanessa Fisher Vanessa Fisher 6'0" | MB Edmond Santa Fe | 2025 State OK [2025] 6-0 Middle (HS: Edmond Santa Fe/Club: Rise/Signed: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Vanessa to the Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 22nd best overall prospect according to the 2023 Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings list. She plays at Edmond Santa Fe High School and also club for Rise Volleyball. Vanessa is a super strong blocker and attacker who has a great upper body presence when she jumps at the net. I love how she drives her feet into the ground very hard toward her setter. Her legs punish the ground to get her off of the floor quickly to hit the fast tempo set. She has a really good hand contact/wrist snap that adds some legit pop to the ball. Miss Fisher uses great timing on her blocks to help her team stay in the rally by slowing would-be attackers down. She also has great court vision and uses it to score on off-speed attacks when she sees a hole in the defense. Her ceiling is very high and we are happy to have her ranked amongst the state’s best. Please help us congratulate her on the special honor.
