Under the direction of Wausau Newman Catholic Head Coach Betty Lange, Wisconsin Ice 18 National features Division I and II recruits and a great amount of talent. “This is a group of hard workers who are very coachable.” Lange said. “They bring effort and enthusiasm to each practice and are willing to step outside of their comfort zone to try new things.”
Kayla Lass Kayla Lass 5'10" | OH Stevens Point | 2019 State WI (2019 – Green Bay Commit) of SPASH, Jacqueline Smith Jacqueline Smith 5'11" | OH Northland Piines | 2020 State WI (2020 – 5’11 – Outside Hitter) of Northland Pines, and Grace Gilles Grace Gilles 5'7" | S EC Regis | 2019 State WI (2019 – 5’6 – Sioux Falls Commit) of Regis could be big difference makers this season. Taylor Pagel Taylor Pagel 6'0" | MB Wausau East | 2020 State WI (2020 – 6’0 – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter) of Wausau East, Maddy Weisensal (2019 – 5’9 – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist) of Wautoma, Allysa Deates Allysa Deates 5'9" | RS SPASH | 2019 State WI (2019 – 5’8 – Pin Hitter) and Maddy Dokken Maddy Dokken 5'10" | OH SPASH | 2020 State WI (2020 – 5’10 – Pin Hitter/Middle Blocker) of SPASH have the ability to surprise teams. Madi Hintz Madi Hintz Pacelli | 2020 State WI (2020 – 5’4 – Libero) of Pacelli and Brianna Weiland (2020 – 5’1 – Libero) of Weyauwega-Fremont will run the defense for Wisconsin Ice 18 National.
Teagan Kuckkahn (2020 – 5’8 – Right Side) of Weyauwega-Fremont is a lefty who is a natural on the right side with room to grow over the season.
Lange will be assisted by her daughter, Ashley Lange, as well as Kasie Holt. Wisconsin Ice 18 National will take part in the JVA World Challenge in Louisville, as well as the Mizuno Showcase in Wisconsin Dells and the Badger Region Power League 18 Elite Division.

They will be participating in the 17/18s division of the Wisconsin Ice Season Opener at Wausau West on Sunday, January 6th. Early season goals will be to get better each time they set foot on the floor and find their flow.
