Shaffer earned 4A All-League 1st team in the tough Wesco for Arlington this fall. The 5’11” junior was at her best in many of the Eagles’ big matches, playing tough in all six rotations and scoring from the pin in various ways. Shaffer has excellent ball control; she passes efficiently in serve-receive and can use tips and shots to score from the spin on a challenging set.

Shaffer has a snappy swing and is confident attacking down the line or finding hands to score. She rises to #70 overall in the latest rankings, after a club season patrolling the OH spot and middle back for Skagit Island Volleyball Academy . Shaffer looked steady in serve receive, determined as a defender and athletic and long at the net. The 5’11” junior will be looking to lead Arlington High School to the playoffs in the 4A Wesco District.

The Arlington outside has a big arm and she was ripping it from both pins. That offensive firepower carries over to the service line, and she did an excellent job locating her serve with pace. Facing off against unfamiliar teams and defenses heading into the final day of play, Shaffer made adjustments and found ways to score to keep the SIVA offense humming along.
