A few weeks ago I was able to witness some amazing teams compete at Triple Crown and think they are in for a solid showing at Red Rock Rave. Momentous VBC 17 Dan are having themselves a season so far. Setter Madeline Brown (California Baptist) and [player_tooltip player_id='160998' first='Julia' last='Kakkis'] run the show for this awesome squad. Miss Kakkis also doubles as a solid opposite who can bring some heat from the right pin. Middle [player_tooltip player_id='490871' first='Taylor' last='Walsh'] plays well above the net standing at 6'2” and touching well above ten feet in the air. Outside [player_tooltip player_id='159533' first='Isabel' last='Clark'] has a fantastic right arm that can blow up the ball at any time she wants to. Right Side Cymarah Gordon has more frequent flyer miles than anyone I know as she lives in the air above the net. Libero Annah Legaspi does an amazing job keeping the ball in play for this stellar squad. They will for sure be in the hunt come day three.

CITY Volleyball 17 Gold

Setters [player_tooltip player_id='179593' first='Kate' last='Duffey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='253283' first='Charlotte' last='Reff'] do a great job of moving the ball around to all of the talented attackers on the team. Duffy plays defense like a libero out of the right back zone. Right Side [player_tooltip player_id='160971' first='Kennedy' last='Osunsanmi'] is a high flyer who can put holes in the floor if blockers don't slow her down. Left side attackers [player_tooltip player_id='160967' first='Danica' last='Rach'] and [player_tooltip player_id='475908' first='Mila' last='Mijailovic'] can score with the best of them. Good luck slowing them down as they looked unstoppable at times when I watched them play a few weeks ago. Middle Havyn Rolle is fast off of the ground and can run quick tempos both in front and behind her setters. Emersen Werger is a solid back row floor general. Her libero skills are elite and she moves around the court so fast and balanced. This team is scary to anyone who doesn't take them seriously.

16s

Surfside 16 PV Legends

Outside Hitter [player_tooltip player_id='188236' first='Kaci' last='Demaria'] definitely steals the show for this star-studded squad. Middle Kalyssa Blackshear is a load to handle at the net. She stands at about six foot three and jumps out of the gym. Middle Danielle Rusich who runs a super fast tempo quick set in front of her setter. [player_tooltip player_id='311353' first='Reese' last='Stringer'] runs the show for this awesome team and she is one of the best setters in the state in her 2026 grad class. Libero Olivia Foye has amazing defensive range and utilizes some great emergency techniques to keep the ball off of the ground. I watched her use her hands very well while digging and she was amazing. Outside Simone Rolson was a solid second option on the left side and she scored well down the line. Everything tells me that they can continue to ride their hot streak from winning Triple Crown and be in the mix on day three at Red Rock.

WAVE 16 Kevin

Right Side Keila Gabriel is a show stopper at the net and can impact the game at both offense and defense. Her blocking is at a very elite level and has been that way for a while. Outside Nia Thompson is super athletic and can bang with the big girls from the front row and the back row. Left side Quinn Loper is another six footer who dominates at the net. She can unleash bombs at any time and is one of the focal points of the offense. She will be tough to stop all tournament long. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='179674' first='Yuri' last='Park'] is one of the best liberos in her grad class and we have been following her for the past two years. She is very calm and doesn't let much affect her game. I think this team will have a great showing this weekend and we are super excited to watch them.
