<p>Though we love the Grace Tubbs and Delaney McSweeney’s of the sport, we also want to give a shout out to the “shorter” hitters out there. Here are the best hitters, 5’10” and under, from the KC MLK tournament this weekend:</p>

<p><strong>Riley Atzen</strong>- CIS 18M- A 5’8” junior OH, Atzen had 136 kills, 19 aces, and 13 blocks for Southeast Polk this fall. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Emily Clapp</strong>- CIA 18 Black- A 5’10” senior DS, Clapp might be more comfortable in the backrow, but her smart, experienced play in the front row helped CIA to a 5<sup>th</sup> place finish. The Cedar Falls High School native finished with 176 kills for the Tigers this fall. Clapp will be headed to Arkansas Tech next fall. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Sommer Daniel-</strong> Adrenaline- A 5’9” junior setter/rightside, Daniel can do it all. Though she’s committed to go to the University of Utah as a setter, Daniel can swing with the best of them. She led Tipton HS with 476 kills this fall, while also chipping in 500 assists. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Anna Godfredson</strong>- IPVA 17- A 5’9” junior OH, Godfredsen uses her fast armswing to pile on the kills. Godfredsen had 231 kills for Dowling Catholic this fall. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Akeela Jefferson</strong>- Adrenaline- A 5’10” senior OH, Jefferson plays much bigger than her frame. Headed to South Dakota State next fall, Jefferson had 367 kills this fall for Cedar Rapids Xavier. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Sydney Kloubec</strong>- Adrenaline- A 5’9” senior OH, Kloubec had 381 kills for Cedar Rapis Jefferson this fall. She will be headed to Indian Hills CC next season. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Kylee Oldenburger</strong>- Six Pack 18s- A 5’9” junior OH, Oldenburger led Cedar Rapids Prairie with 313 kills this fall. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Maggie Peters</strong>- CR Surge- A 5’10” senior MB, Peters had 122 kills for Cedar Rapids Jefferson this fall. </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Macy Schuette</strong>- Westside Strikers- A 5’10” senior OH, Schuette played for the West Des Moines Valley Tigers. </p>
