Scouting Reports: 15Q Standout Outside Hitters

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The top 15U clubs from around the state came together last weekend here at the RecPlex for Iowa regional qualifying. The tournament featured some serious talent.   Here are some of the outside hitters that stood out:   [player_tooltip player_id='243182' first='Isabelle' last='Kremer'], Rockets R - The freshman helped defending champion Pleasant Valley return to the Class 5A state championship game in the Fall. Kremer shined during the time she received on that very talented team. She also made life difficult for opponents here, overpowering them with her big swing and denying them with blocks.   [player_tooltip player_id='508627' first='Stella' last='Smith'], Rockets R - Smith and Kremer complement each other well on the outside, both ladies versatile enough to line up at either spot. Smith stands out for athleticism and timing. The Davenport Central sophomore can swing it.   [player_tooltip player_id='215742' first='Carly' last='Wazac'], Six Pack - Wazac sustained in injury during the tournament's final round. It took away one of Six Pack's top players during the most competitive part of the event. When she played, she hammered from the right side and rejected shots.   Maya Ridgeway, Ignit - Ridgeway shows good athleticism on the left side with a strong swing and good timing when she rises above the next.   [player_tooltip player_id='389059' first='Kylee' last='Patterson'], Powerplex - Patterson positions herself well and contributes more than just when she's swinging from the right side. She displays a good vertical leap.   [player_tooltip player_id='389073' first='Cydney' last='Tath'], Andrenaline - Another really good athlete with strength and power, Tath converts solid sets into points for her team.   [player_tooltip player_id='261085' first='Maren' last='Ouellette'], Select Mizuno - Ouellette shines on the left side with excellent leaping ability, good timing and a solid swing.
