Continue ReadingMinnesota Northern Lights teams have been taking their skills all over for tournaments this club season and their hard work is paying off. The goal for many at this level is to sign with a top college and continue to play the game they love. In the recent weeks a few have been scooped up by elite colleges. These decisions are never easy, take time, and will impact their futures in so many ways. Congratulations to these MNL athletes on this exciting undertaking and thanks for spreading the Minnesota-style of volleyball across the country.
Class of 2020
Lauren Woodford: Syracuse University
From Spring Lake Park, this outstanding player reached 2,000 set assists in her high school career. With her senior year still remaining, we anticipate more record setting from Woodford.
Sophia Andersen: Concordia University – St. Paul
From New Prague High school, this 5’11 hitter will become a part of the Concordia dynasty. Her versatility and high kill percentage will be a great asset to their program.
Bronwyn Timperley: University of Northern Colorado
Out of Northfield, this long and lean outside will show the Big Sky Conference how so many of our home-state players can play all six rotations. We hope they will continue to employ her as a primary passer.
Courtney Cahill: Southwest Minnesota State University
A strong setter from Woodbury has been leading the MNL 17-2 to a great season and will be in good company there.
There is so much talent on all of the 17’s teams at Lights. Other deserving recruits hoping to sign soon include:
