This group has a lot of talent, and some new faces are starting to prove that they are among the top players in this loaded class.
Here’s a look at some of the players raising their game in the Class of 2025 during the club season.
Alivia Brown Alivia Brown 5'9" | DS/L Temperance Bedford | 2025 State MI , L/DS Legacy 16-2 ADIDAS
A setter and right side out of the Bedford program, Brown made a shift to libero for Legacy during the season and has been a huge asset. Her unselfishness and willingness to take on a new role speaks to her character and competitiveness. The increased defensive reps will also only help her become a complete player as she’s already got the setting and hitting skillsets.
Mallory McFarlane Mallory McFarlane 5'7" | DS/L Saline | 2025 State MI , L/DS Michigan Elite 16 Elite
You won’t find many that are going to work harder than McFarlane. She is all over the court and that comes from her drive, which has been at every practice and every match this club season. McFarlane delivers a great pass and is going to get to nearly every attack that comes in her direction. Her serve has also been a big improvement throughout the season.
Mallory Reck Mallory Reck 5'10" | RS Northville | 2025 State MI , RS Legacy 16-1 ADIDAS
It’s been a big club season for the Reck twins as they set to emerge as go-to players for the upcoming Northville season as well. Mallory has been a consistent finisher on the right side, using her court awareness and quick reaction time to end points with power or offspeed attacks. She’s got the competitive fire that we’ve seen from Abigail Reck Abigail Reck 6'2" | MB Northville | 2023 State #74 Nation MI as well.
Molly Reck Molly Reck 5'10" | OH Northville | 2025 State MI , OH Legacy 16-1 ADIDAS
Just like Mallory, Molly has taken a lot of strides this club season as well. She brings a lot of energy, spirit and competitiveness to the squad. She also is driven just like her sisters and will do what she has to to finish a point. Her swing is very sound technically, which is leading to a lot of velocity and being able to attack at sharp angles. Molly is showing some real dominant stretches.
Katerina Stout Katerina Stout 6'3" | MB Macomb Dakota | 2025 State MI , MB Michigan Elite 17 Mizuno
Stout, a 6’2” middle from Dakota started the club season with 16 Elite, but was moved up to 17 Mizuno as they were in need of a middle hitter. The move up in age has only brought out the best in Stout. She’s shown improved footwork and is playing faster offensively and with her blocking. Stout is doing a nice job of high-pointing the ball and putting down highlight-reel attacks.
Carly Zibell Carly Zibell 5'10" | RS Lake Orion | 2025 State MI , MH High Performance Nike 16-1
Zibell is someone that has been making a lot of waves in recent months. This club season she has made a switch from OPP to middle. She has improved with each passing day, getting her attacking, blocking and serve up to speed very quickly. Her overall athleticism has helped make the transition to the middle much smoother and shows her adaptability as a player.
