Graduation Weekend Blessings: In-State JUCO Signees

In honor of graduation weekend for the class of 2023, I did some research and found several Kansas players who have committed to JUCO programs in Kansas.   The majority of these names were unfortunately new to me and prove how much college talent there is across the state. This is not an all-inclusive list and includes athletes who have not been regularly featured on Prep Dig. Congratulations to all of the graduates across the state this year and good luck to all of the state's student-athletes as they transition to college sports.   [player_tooltip player_id='335514' first='Josie' last='McLean'], 5'8”, S, Hutchinson, Barton CC   McLean had an amazing total of 923 assists during her senior season. She finished her career with the Salthawks with 2,173 assists.   [player_tooltip player_id='152175' first='Laynee' last='Brown'], 5'5”, L, Seaman, Butler CC   Brown finished her senior season with 380 digs and 514 serve receptions. During her career with the Vikings, she filled her stat sheet with 1,150 digs and 1,604 serve receptions.   [player_tooltip player_id='214639' first='Daetyn' last='Bogle'], 6'0”, OH, Northwest (Wichita), Coffeyville CC   Bogle finished with 680 assists during her senior campaign. The Grizzly setter finished her high school career with 1,323 total assists.   Ashlyn Nelson, 5'7” MB, Valley Center, Coffeyville CC   Nelson finished her senior season with 71 total blocks and 134 kills.   [player_tooltip player_id='214641' first='Alexandra' last='Workman'], 5'9”, OH, Northwest (Wichita), Colby CC   Workman finished the 2022 season with 168 kills and 61 total blocks.   Mika Schultz, 5'9”, OH, Ulysses, Cowley County CC   During her senior season, Schultz racked up 255 kills and 53 total blocks. She has 155 kills and 57 blocks for Ulysses during her junior season.   Valerie Luna, 5'7”, MB, Great Bend, Cowley County CC   Luna finished with 100 total blocks during her senior season. She finished with 259 total blocks for the Panthers during her high school career.   Sydney Johnson, 5'9”, MH, Circle, Fort Scott CC   Johnson finished her senior season with 157 kills and 49 total blocks.   Hailee Schropp, 5'3”, L, Circle, For Scott CC   Schropp finished with 365 digs and 496 serve receptions for the Thunderbirds in 2022.   Carly Lang, 5'6”, DS, Hays, Garden City CC   Lang accumulated 262 kills for the Indians during her senior season. For her high school career, Lang finished with 613 total kills.   Jaidynee Vontress,  5'10”, OH, East (Wichita), Hutchinson CC   Vontress had a solid senior season for the Aces. She finished with 220 kills and 256 digs.   Doan Dinh, 5'6”, S, East (Wichita), Hutchinson CC   Dinh led the Aces with 507 assists during her senior season. She also finished with 173 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='214652' first='Liana' last='McGonigle'], 6'1”, MB, Sedgwick, Johnson County CC   McGonigle is a high-jumping blocker who also played for the Air Capital Aces. During her junior season, she finished with 110 kills and 45 total blocks.   Mallory Pruitt, 5'10”, OH, Maize South, Johnson County CC   Pruitt had 40 total kills and 19 total blocks during her senior season in 48 sets played for Maize South.   Kierstyn Houk, 5'7”, L, Parsons, Neosho County CC   Houk is a solid defensive player and won't be traveling too far from Parsons as she heads north up HWY 75 to play in Chanute.   <a>McKenna Hammond</a>, 5'8”, OH, Crest, Neosho CC   Hammond was a three-sport star at Crest High School. She chose volleyball over softball and basketball to play at the college level.   Maggie Lindenmeyer, 5'7”, OH, Hays, Pratt CC   Lindenmeyer finished with 82 kills during her senior season for the Indians.   Rylie Hallman, 5'7”, MB, Liberal, Pratt CC   Hallman accumulated 237 kills and 59 total blocks for Liberal during her senior season.   [player_tooltip player_id='335516' first='Tessa' last='Bender'], 5'4”, L, Abilene, Pratt CC   Bender finished her senior season with 551 digs and 483 serve receptions. She had 800-plus digs and serve receptions in her high school career.
