At 5’11, Whitner may be considered undersized for elite status as a middle. However, she is very athletic with explosiveness off of the floor that benefits the full scope of her game as a middle that allows her to compete well among even the biggest of threats across the net. As she enters her sophomore season for Gilmour Academy this coming fall, this will be a good time to see the returns from a solid club season. She made a big impact in year one for GA with 247 total kills and a kill percentage of 61% and should once again be a featured arm in their offensive arsenal. She is quick, moves around the court with confidence, and uses her arm well in the air to swing with added ranged.

Snowbarger is a 6’0 left side attacker with big upside to her game. As one of a handful of very capable arms for one of the best 15U teams in the country, she offer good variety in her presence offensively. She can score from a variety of attack points with swing pace and power or by finding holes and using her arm control to exploit that space well. Snowbarger was really good all season of taking advantage of the tempo and location she often saw from her team’s offense and at using her length and reach well in the air. This also benefits her well out of the middle-back position defensively as she can create good opportunities with her range. She was a juggernaut of an offensive threat for Wooster High School last fall season as she led them offensively at 5.5 kills per set that included 427 total kills and a .331 efficiency.

As this class has some good depth of solid talent at the outside hitter position, it was tough to decide between Hoying and her teammate Snowbarger given the load they shared so well in their team’s offense. They both scored a lot of points and were a huge reason for their success last season in winning a GJNC title and then again this season with an AAU title and a runner-up finish at the GJNC. Hoying can swing with big power and uses her 5’11 frame well to put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses with her arm. When on time with their in-system tempo she can terminate from a high contact point. She also contributes well in other aspects with her passing and defense. She was the third most productive arm for Bishop Watterson in 2022 with a 188 total kills and 2.0 k/set.

A Ross High School product, Bosse is one of the most improved middle prospects over the course of the club season regarding skill development, court presence, and production. She is athletic and at 6’1 she uses her tools aggressively. Her game has grown on both sides of the ball as her footwork and movement patterns around the setter have elevated the scope of how she can score whether in front or off one foot on a slide option. Some of her biggest gains and most noticeable impact come on the defensive side as she uses her quickness well laterally and then to get up and over fast to shut down hitters when blocking. She averaged 2.5 kills per set for Ross in 2022.

‘ last=”]’s top 15U team that scored a lot and through a range of options. She is an impressive attacker with her ability to lift and contact well above the net in spite of her 5’10 frame. She gets off the court quickly and her high elbow move allows her to challenge the defense well above the net. She has a nose for the ball on both sides as she adjusts her approach patterns effectively at her last two steps to be able get herself to the ball and on balance. Defensively, she is rangy with her long platform and has good vision that helps prepare her well for the first contact. Look for her to continue leading Brookeville once again during her sophomore season following a first-year effort that included a team leading 4.1 kills per set.
