Whitner returns to AVC’s top team in her age group and will once again lead their effort in the middle phase of the game. She is athletic and explosive, which washes out what might be considered an undersized frame for the position at 5’10 when considering the elite next-level programs. Her quickness laterally when blocking and her ability to get up off the floor offensively can create some big highlights for her and her team as her movement, rhythm, and skills have an emphatic quality. The tempo and timing in AVC’s middle offense with her is often tough to defend. She is fun to watch and it will be interesting to see where she ends up committing for the next level.

Whitner is one of the most athletic members of this team as the junior middle is quick and explosive. She puts down 2.7 k/s and is the fourth arm terminating over 60% of the time. Undersized at 5’10 for this role by some coach and recruiting standards, she can make up for that by her footwork, agility, big lift, and the speed she can create with her arm that can get the ball to the floor very fast. She brings a different dimension to the quicker facets of their offense, which is tough to handle for opponents.
