Mighty Middles at the Dallas Stockup Showcase

There were so many talented athletes to write about at the Prep Dig Dallas Stockup Showcase that I almost did not know where to start. She is a beast! She is great in the middle but can play anywhere up front. She is great at hitting, blocking, and digging, which cannot be said for all middles. She is something special.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Nina Gannon</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gannon is a 6'1" middle hitter from TAG High School in Dallas. She is a sophomore this year but her skills are far beyond what you would expect for most second-year athletes. She puts up massive blocks, has a huge reach, is a powerful hitter, and is basically the real deal. She is all-around a very impressive athlete.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='314726' first='Katelyn' last='Bowman']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bowman is a 6' middle blocker from Allen High School class of 2025. She has great intangible assets. Her presence on the court is impressive, her range and vertical are immense, as well as her ability to read her opponents. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='428509' first='Katelyn' last='Marion']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Marion is a 6'1" middle blocker from Guyer High School class of 2025. Marion has all of the skills as a great middle blocker but the thing that I noticed first about her was her communication with all of the other athletes. She is strong, athletic, and powerful but spent plenty of her time on the court being supportive of the other athletes. It was a pleasure to watch her play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='254160' first='Hannah' last='Lee']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lee is a 6' middle blocker from Frisco Wakeland High School in the class of 2026. Her blocking was fantastic. She had great timing and went up like a brick wall. Her angles were great too so her blocks landed in bounds. She is great!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='207063' first='Sydney' last='Strenger']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strenger is a 6'1" middle blocker from Emerson High School class of 2025. She is a powerful blocker and hitter with a great reach, a great vertical, and very athletic. McCurley got noticed for having great back-row defensive skills, which I do not see very often. She could be a six-rotation player at the next level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ja'Dore Farmer</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Farmer is a 6' middle hitter from Duncanville High School class of 2025. This athlete can fly! She is already so tall then can just jump almost over the net. She is a very precise hitter and hits her spots easily. This athlete has a vicious swing and power behind it. She has a great vertical, long reach, and plenty of power in her legs to propel her in her approach. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
