Ok, I’m going to say it. This girl is terrific and probably the best hitter in Class 1. She is a show-stopper for Jasper and a massive reason why they are so good and should be again this year. She can fly through the air and hammers the ball almost straight down. She has no problem hitting over the blockers. She finished last year with 502 kills and will reach 1000 career kills quickly this year. If you’ve not seen the kid hit look up her videos now!
Angel Johnson – 5’7” – Clarkton
Angel was a big reason why Clarkton had such a tremendous season. She is a steady middle with excellent movement to the pins and powerfully hits her corners. She gives the Reindeer a dual threat out of the middle and hopes to guide Clarkton back into the state playoffs.
Lizzie Schlueter – 5’10” – East Atchison
Lizzie was a critical offensive threat for the Class 1 4th-place finisher. She is long with an excellent powerful swing, giving the Wolves a top-returning middle. She will be the top offensive player returning, and her kill total will double.
Emma Michael Emma Michael 5'7" | MB Santa Fe | 2025 State MO – 5’10” – Santa Fe
At 5’10”, Emma has the height to be a go-to player for Sante Fe out of the middle. Last season was a big year for Emma as she finished with 226 kills. A tall and long middle that loves hitting the right back position for numerous kills.
Sidney Hawkins Sidney Hawkins 5'10" | OH Lesterville | 2025 State MO – 5’9” – Lesterville
Hawkins increased her kill total from her first year by 137, finishing with 174. If she plays middle, she can run a terrific slide and must be a force at the net on both sides of the ball if the Bearcats want to move past districts.
