Premier 16 Black, 14 Black Win Club Division Titles

OMAHA - Premier 16 Black and Premier 14 Gold each captured Club division championships on the final day of competition at the 2016 Asics President's Day Classic.

After losing its very first match of the tournament, 16 Black went on to win nine straight to capture the title, including a 25‑23, 17‑25, 18‑16 victory over Dynasty 15 Blue in the championship. That victory capped a 4-0 day which also saw 16 Black defeat Minnesota Premier 27-25, 25-14 in the first round, IPVA 16 Black 25-22, 21-25, 18-16 in the quarterfinals and Nebraska Elite 16 Mojo in the semifinals 25-20, 25-19.

Members of the 16 Black team are: Taylor O'Malley, Claire Andry, Ashtynne Alberts, Malory Voyles, Lydia Permenter, Rylee Reggio, Megan Hanson, Peyton Young, Jada Key and Lauren Isenberg.

Premier 14 Black went a perfect 10-0 in the tournament and pretty much cruised through the 16-team championship bracket in 14 Club today. The squad beat Colorado Juniors 14 Tammy 25-11, 25-13 and then knocked off Nebraska ONE 14 Xtreme 25-19, 25-17 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, 14 Black stayed hot with a 26-24, 25-19 win over Mizuno Northern Lights 142 and then downed Central Iowa Select 14M 25-16, 25-16 in the championship.

Members of the 14 Black team are: Lexiss Booth, Hannah Domandle, Izzy Lukens, Grace Shiemann, Meredith Mueller, Claire Larson, Sarah Montague, Kayla Hansen, Sydney Frerichs and Ibinye-Olivia Green.
