Her ability to read the floor quickly and make decisions under pressure is what stands out most on film, whether she is orchestrating the offense or anchoring the back row in a rally that has gone sideways. Martinez played for the Houston Stellar 16 Elite team that ended up in sixth place with a win and four losses. The setter was forced to with passes off the net fairly often but still did a very good job of remaining accurate with her locations. Martinez was very successful at tracking passes and used her superior technique to get the ball in the best possible spot for her hitters to swing. She was also huge defensively, combining tremendous ball control and impressive effort to keep the ball off the floor.
