Alvarez was a primary arm for her Southwest team this recent club season and will return to her SJA team following a 2.1 k/s average last season as a key part of a balanced corps of attackers. She also averaged 5.7 d/m. At 5'8, she has good six rotation ability but is most effective with her arm as she has good momentum build in her approach work that leads to a fundamental swing in the air that can generate good pace. Look for her to make a bigger offensive impact this fall.   [player_tooltip player_id='435230' first='Lydia' last='Steyer'] Steyer is a 6'0 setter coming off a good club effort as the floor leader for her TVC squad over the past several months. She has good size for this role and some versatility to be an offensive threat when needed. In her distribution, she has improved the quality of her location and tempo especially when on the move. She returns to a Perrysburg team that advanced to the DI state semifinals a season ago and should see increased opportunities following the graduation of some key members, including in the setting role.   [player_tooltip player_id='435240' first='Skylar' last='Kelso'] The 6'3 Kelso was a key member of her Oltenagy Orange squad last high school season as she was among their top three point scorers with over 100 kills on the season. On the defensive side is where a lot of her impact was made as she led the Pioneers in total blocks. Her overall skills have improved, including her movement patterns and arm. Coming off the club season with her Mintonette team, she enters the upcoming fall season with increased aggressiveness as an attacker, which should elevate her point scoring ability.
