2027 Players Watch List: Impact Pins

That's the sound you hear when the ball comes off of Miss Ward's hand. She's big, physical, athletic and has a high attack point. Hard to defend and even harder to hit against, Caroline can hit any tempo ball you throw at her, and has the athletic acuity to adjust if the set isn't perfect. You just don't see that type of athleticism in a kid this young, yet here we are.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='443851' first='Ali' last='Nobbe'], 6-1 OH, Oldenburg Academy</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From a small, regional club named SEIVB, I got a chance to see Ali play at Circle City's summer league. You might recognize the name---cousin <strong>Josie Nobbe</strong> signed with Division II Fairmont State recently. Ali's a different player, though. Long and lean, Ali has the ability to go over blocks and moves with grace. She can hit a ton of angles too, and is slowly learning some upper level six-rotation work. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='435849' first='Alexis' last='Muegge'], 5-9 OH, Greenfield-Central</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another smooth attacker on the left, Alexis can terminate regularly. Her pass-to-attack skills are ahead of her age, which she showed off at our Freshman Showcase recently. Tough from behind the baseline, Miss Muegge can score points from anywhere, and looks to expand on those talents in the coming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='435852' first='Ava' last='Lynch'], 6-0 RS, Avon</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I list her as a right side because of her size, but Ava can play both pins well. Her high attack point and fast arm scores points regularly, and she still has a ton of strength to gain. A gym rat through and through, Ava has improved a ton in the couple of years she's been around the game, and should continue to do so with her continued training at Avon and Circle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='435860' first='Evyn' last='Taylor'], 5-11 OH, Brebeuf</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another kid with capabilities of hitting on both pins, Evyn is a long and strong athlete that blocks both pins well and is athletic enough to put balls away on both pins too. She plays in a tough environment---Brebeuf is one of the most competitive programs in the state---so to see her this young already garnering attention is a positive sign for both her and the Braves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
