Incarnate Word, Francis Howell, Nerinx Hall, Pattonville, Summit, and Oakville are the teams making out Pool C. Here are some of the top hitters coming to the tournament with action starting this evening and going through Saturday evening. Here are a few highlighted top attackers from Pools A and B.

[player_tooltip player_id='169897' first='Jenna' last='Cubbage'] – 2025 – 6'0” – Outside – Eureka

Cubbage is a stat stuffer for the Wildcats and plays six rotations. Jenna's a smart hitter that can hit from any position on the court. Her athleticism allows her to be moved around to create hitting or blocking mismatches. Plays great defense and a solid passer and helps her team in several ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='170028' first='Ella' last='Domian'] – 2024 – 5'9” – Opposite – Jackson

The lefty for Jackson is one of the top efficiency hitters in the state for any class or position. Ella is a smart and powerful hitter on the right pin. She puts up a solid block and hits a heavy ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='119227' first='Mia' last='Scanlon'] – 2024 – 5'10” – Outside – Marquette

Mia has developed over the years into one of the top outsides in the Metro Area. The six rotations outside might be a little undersized but her vision allows her to hit around and through blockers. Also been a top defender and passer on her team over the last three seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='168901' first='Haley' last='Yount'] – 2024 – 6'2” – Middle – Northwest

The only senior on her team Yount is carrying a heavy load. She is an imposing force on the net offensively and defensively and has been since she stepped on the court her freshman year. Haley will reach 1,000 kills and over 200 blocks before her career is complete.

Ava Lamitola – 2024 – 5'11” – Opposite – Webster Groves

Another lefty opposite making the list is the tone team's top attacker and blockers. Ava has a nice lineshot but the sharp crosscourt is her bread and butter.

Greta Heiney – 2024 – 5'10” – Outside – St. Dominic

It seems each year the Crusaders have a player that comes out of nowhere to be a force. Greta already has more kills than she did last year with 64 and that number will keep increasing. A solid outside who has a high contact point with a sharp attack through the hole in the block.

[player_tooltip player_id='222058' first='Katherine' last='Byergo'] – 2026 – 6'5” – Middle/Opposite – Parkway West

I watched Katie as a freshman put up a big wall on the right pin in districts. I saw her hit the middle for her club team. I've not yet watched her Longhorns play this season but wherever she's playing you can't miss her. One of the tallest players in the area she is also a very athletic and a shutdown blocker.
