MN Showcase – Class A/AA – Extraordinary Setters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some of the best Minnesota teams in Class A and AA were at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse last weekend. We were checking them out on Friday and tried to get our eyes on 32 teams in four hours was quite the task! We want to feature some of the setters that really showed up while we were at their court!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block was running a 6-2 with Ava McIntosh for the Stars.  She really caught my attention with a really tricky and deceptive setter dump.  She is a good size setter at 5'8 and more importantly has a clean and quick impressed me as soon as she stepped into the front row.  I've seen her as a libero and setter but with the amount of height Caledonia has on their roster I was impressed to see Rommes hold her own in the front row for them.  She is a scrappy defender, runs a solid offensive system and is very smart with her distribution of the is not just a great distributor but she puts up a huge block.  This gives her the ability to be a solid 6 rotation player with a sound all around game.  She has tremendous potential to play at the next level as a setter who can also was running a 6-2 and hitting as a right side attacker in the front row.  I really like her as an attacker and she puts up a solid block against opposing pin hitters.  Goldsmith was making a number of athletic is aggressive and confident running her offense for Legacy Christian.  She isn't afraid to call her own number and push the pace with her offense.  Enns will take risks, play gritty defense, and puts a tough serve in does a nice job giving her hitters a ton of options and opportunities to terminate.  She has solid technique, good location, and moves the ball around among her attackers.  Hennen has a knack for eluding the opposing block make them hesitate on predicting where she is going with the is a super athletic setter that is fun to watch.  She gives blockers nightmares with her ability to move the ball around quickly.  Bourne is fast on the court and gets to every 2nd ball no matter where the pass may take is gritty and aggressive on both offense and defense.  She runs a fast game, gets all her hitters involved, and connects well with her attackers.  Borresen is constantly communicating and strategizing with her team to get the job
