Ponca High School has been generating some recent buzz, especially with Stewart emerging as a leader in the senior class. Stewart’s skyrocketing production is captured through her blocking stats, as she’s putting down a block per set to lead the Indians. Our showcase event revealed that she can thrive on the pin in addition to her well-established prowess in the middle. Stewart gets on top of the ball quickly, allowing her to hit any tempo she’s given. It’s the perfect recipe for some multi-positional impact on this fall’s high school stage.

Let’s start with a caveat: Stewart is listed as a middle blocker in our database and the Stock Up Showcase entry list. However, she had the opportunity to shine on the right pin and gave us a full glimpse at her multi-position flexibility. This Ponca standout was lethal off of two feet and could easily get on top of quick sets. Stewart racked up 2.5 kills per set in her junior campaign and is poised for even more production as a senior.

Here’s one more showcase participant for the list. Stewart’s dominance at the Top 250 Expo was a continuation of the monster numbers she put up at Ponca. She surpassed 200 kills from the middle blocker spot while also showing some range as an outside hitter when the Indians needed a side out. Now that Stewart has gained experience competing with athletes across the Cornhusker State, she will not be daunted by whatever her senior year brings.
