I did ask the volleyball world to tag me and only a handful did, so if I missed one I tried to find what I could. Here are the players on both sides of the state line who made their dreams come true! Cy Rae Campbell Cy Rae Campbell 5'11" | MB Heritage Christian | 2024 State #45 Nation KS – Heritage Christian > Wake Forest
The first player to tag me gets the first mention and the image picture for the article. After finishing an amazing prep career by winning a fourth straight state title, the middle will take her talents to the East Coast for the Wake Forest Deacons.
Emma Frazier Emma Frazier 5'4" | DS/L St Pius X | 2024 State MO – St. Pius X (Festus) > University of Illinois Springfield
Frazier was key defensively for Pius in her career, contributing heavily in the dig and serve reception departments. She will be heading to Springfield, Illinois to continue her collegiate studies and volleyball career.
Abby Boyd – Blue Springs South > Rockhurst
Blue Springs South had a tremendous run in 2023 and a trio of players are moving on to the next level. Abby Boyd was the defensive leader for this squad with 441 digs on the year. She will be staying local and competing for Rockhurst University in Kansas City.
Alexis Alexander – Blue Springs South > Arkansas
Alexander became a hot commodity over the last couple of seasons and her stock rose tremendously. She will go play in the SEC for a 2023 Top 10-15 program at the University of Arkansas. She tallied over 200 kills and 90 blocks in her final season.
Avery Ringgenberg – Blue Springs South > Johnson County Community College
Riggenberg was also an asset in the block department for this team with close to 90 blocks herself. She will start her career at Johnson County Community College in Kansas.
Skyler Pierce Skyler Pierce 6'3" | OH Olathe Northwest | 2024 State #4 Nation KS – Olathe Northwest > Nebraska
All everything Sky Pierce will be heading to play for the current number-one-ranked team in the country, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She also was recently named first-team All-American by the AVCA. And Sky is still the only athlete I cover to have an in-person conversation with the mysterious John Q.
Lauren Roediger Lauren Roediger 6'2" | MB Olathe Northwest | 2024 State KS – Olathe Northwest > Kansas City
The Olathe Northwest product fresh off of another state-run will stay local by attending Kansas City University, also known to many as the University of Missouri – Kansas (UMKC). The 6’2″ middle will bring size and athleticism to the table for a program that’s shown success this season.
Hatty Hesemann Hatty Hesemann 5'8" | OH New Covenant Academy | 2024 State MO – New Covenant Academy > Missouri State
Hesemann will take her setting and hitting skills to Missouri State in 2024. At New Covenant, she had over 700 assists and close to 200 kills last season.
Rilynn Finley Rilynn Finley 6'0" | MB Republic | 2024 State MO – Republic > Missouri State
At 5’11”, Finley showed she could do damage on the pin by tallying over 1200 kills in her high school career. She will be one of a handful of talented athletes staying in state to play in Springfield at Missouri State.
Autumn Erickson Autumn Erickson 6'1" | MB Staley | 2024 State MO – Staley > Truman State
Autumn Erickson Autumn Erickson 6'1" | MB Staley | 2024 State MO will stay in the state of Missouri and play her next ball at Truman State University. The middle was the kill and block leader for the Falcons in 2023.
Reese Massey Reese Massey 5'8" | DS/L Staley | 2024 State MO – Staley > Missouri S & T
While Erickson led the team in kills and blocks, Massey was the leader in digs and receptions. The back-row defender will study and play collegiately at Missouri S & T.
Mollie Thomas Mollie Thomas 6'0" | S Marshfield | 2024 State MO – Marshfield > Florida Gulf Coast University (Beach)
We have our first beach signing with setter Mollie Thomas Mollie Thomas 6'0" | S Marshfield | 2024 State MO heading to Florida Gulf Coast. We aren’t jealous or anything but she showed over the years she will succeed there with her height and skill set.
Olivia Hasbrook Olivia Hasbrook 5'9" | DS/L Eureka | 2024 State #56 Nation MO – Eureka – Ohio State University
Another first-team All-American, I’ve been raving about Hasbrook for years and she will head to The Ohio State University. As a libero, she has been one of the most dynamic players in the back row in not just the state but the country.
Riley Ourth Riley Ourth 5'7" | DS/L Olathe West | 2024 State KS – Olathe West > Missouri State
Olathe West made big strides over the last couple of seasons and a big reason was the play of Ourth. She averaged over 5 digs per set in her final season for the Owls. She will cross over the state line to compete for Missouri State.
Reagan Baade Reagan Baade 5'8" | OH Ozark | 2024 State MO – Ozark > Missouri State
The 5’8″ pin saw her numbers improve year after year and her hard work earned her a scholarship to Missouri State. In her final year, she averaged 3.6 kills per set.
Janelle Green Janelle Green 5'9" | S Blue Valley North | 2024 State #68 Nation KS – Blue Valley North > Cincinatti
When Green committed to Cincinnati, they were in one conference. Now in the Big 12, she will get to play many matches closer to home with Iowa State, Kansas, and Kansas State on the schedule. One of the more talented setters in the state made her pledge final.
Remi Nuss Remi Nuss 5'6" | DS/L Blue Valley Northwest | 2024 State KS – West Viriginia University
The defender will head to the beautiful mountains of West Virginia after high school. Nuss had a shortened senior season but prior showed she is a solid defender.
Zoe McDonald – Shawnee Mission East > Butler
McDonald will head to Indiana to play for Butler University. Shawnee Mission East had a big turnaround this season behind the play of the dynamic middle.
Heidi Devers Heidi Devers 5'4" | DS/L St. James | 2024 State KS – St James Academy > Kansas
Devers was one of a few talented defenders in the back row for St. James. She will stay home by signing with the University of Kansas. She tallied around 200 digs on the year.
Mya Bolton Mya Bolton 5'3" | DS/L St. James Academy | 2024 State #134 Nation KS – St. James Academy > Michigan State
A second-team All-American, Bolton made a name for herself in the back row as a lights-out defender. She will head north to East Lansing, Michigan to play for another up-and-coming program in the Big Ten.
Rachel Van Gorp Rachel Van Gorp 5'9" | OH Heritage Christian | 2024 State #94 Nation KS – Heritage Christian > Iowa State
We started off with Campbell and her Batman or Robin, whoever you want to declare is the other is Van Gorp. The defender, who also swings for her high school will head up I-35 a few hours to Ames to play for Iowa State.
Carlie Cisneros Carlie Cisneros 6'0" | OH Liberty North | 2024 State #7 Nation MO – Liberty North > Arizona
One of two first-team All-Americans from Missouri, Cisneros will be going to the desert to compete for the Wildcats of Arizona. She finished her prep career with over 1600 kills and 1200 digs.
