<p>Mater Dei is poised to secure its second State title since its victory in 2018 as they prepare to face Archbishop Mitty in the 2023 CIF State Girls Volleyball Championships - Open Division. The Mater Dei Girls Volleyball Team boasts an impressive history on the grand stage. In the 2021 season, they clinched a fourth consecutive year being ranked among the nation's top 10 and marked their eighth consecutive appearance in the CIF Finals. Headed by the seasoned Coach Dan O'Dell, who has dedicated a decade to shaping this program, the team is a powerhouse loaded with committed prospects.</p>

Since 1993, the Monarchs have been an indomitable force in high school volleyball, securing a remarkable 14 CIF State Championships.</p>
