Please officially welcome Miss Canko to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 39th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Great Oak High School and for the Coast volleyball club program. I love when a setter can use her athleticism to fool the defense into thinking that she will set a certain hitter and that is exactly what Alba does. With her quick footwork and amazing body control, she can get to her spot quickly in order to have perfect posture to contact the ball. This is very key in order to not show the defense early where you will be delivering the ball to. This perfect posture also allows Alba to be able to deliver to all locations with precision. Her hitters are able to time the set perfectly and hit with 100% effort because of her accuracy and consistency. Recently she chose to play college volleyball at the University of California at San Diego and we couldn’t be more proud. Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of being listed amongst the great players of this state.
