Buss stood out as one of the more effective scorers in the gym during the showcase. When she gets going, she’s hard to slow down. She’s primed for a big senior season that should see her climb over the 1,000 kill mark. I note her touches as a blocker were also key to slowing down the attack of the opponent and allowing the rally to continue.

The Wichita native, Buss, will travel up I-35 to put her skills on display. The 5″10-pin has also proven to be an effective defensive player. She had 284 kills in her junior season, and with a big senior year, can surpass the 1,000 kill plateau. She has a lively arm and had a strong spring with her Kansas Networks team.

Wichita East was one of the few Wichita teams I did not get to see play last fall. Buss is coming off a successful club season and will be looking to gain traction in her recruitment as a senior. She finished her junior season with 284 kills and 207 digs. She could make a run at reaching the 1,000 career benchmark in both of those categories. She is a six-rotation prospect with a sweet swing. She is currently ranked No. 50 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.
