About Ashton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Intelligent and hustle. I look for the play to score the points not just the best swings. I like to bring the energy by pumping up and celebrating my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m super competitive and eager to learn. I like to think that I’m a smart player, always looking to make the best play for my team. I like being the team "hype" man.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor roll throughout high school. Deans list every semester throughout high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel like I’m a leader when playing club, I watch the competition in games before me to see how their hitters react and where the weakness is. I recently coached a rec league under 16 volleyball team and we went undefeated.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I feel like my high school volleyball career has had a lot of challenges, I often feel overlooked. I dealt with bullying at my last high school which caused me to change schools and my junior year the high school coach didn’t want me on the team. I stayed active with a rec volleyball league and even coached a team to keep my skills for club season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to stay in Kentucky or nearby. I need a college that offers a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
