I recently wrote about Galloway for Prep Girls Hoops after watching her shine in that sport, where she could help Division I teams as a defensive stopper with offensive upside. She still probably has more upside in volleyball, but it’s close. The daughter of former Iowa hooper Kyle Galloway, Hattie is a dangerous two-way performer in the middle of the net in volleyball. Explosion off of the court, leaping ability and emerging power in her swing give her a chance to reach her considerably ceiling in that sport. It’s a matter of repetitions. When she focuses on one sport in college, she’ll maximize her potential. Watching her as a student-athlete at the school where our kids attend, there’s no doubt in my mind she’ll put in the work necessary to be her best.
