We always harp on how difficult it is to form unfamiliar setter-hitter connections in showcase environments. Despite this challenge, setters like Redden find ways to break through and stand out. This Wayne High School junior was a dependable distributor during her showcase trip, and her prep numbers back up that strong performance. She has dished out 8.7 assists per set for the Blue Devils and has added some wicked serving runs to the fray, too. Redden could be the catalyst for Wayne’s continued climb in the Class C1 hierarchy.

Redden was one of our earliest entries on the Nebraska 2027 watch list. She immediately guided the Wayne High School offense as a freshman and upped her averages to eight assists per set the next year. Redden has also excelled on the Prep Dig Circuit, connecting with any hitter she’s teamed with during our showcases. Redden’s combination of physicality and grit should help fill the stat sheet again this fall.

Let’s bring some setter representation into this feature. Redden jumped onto our 2027 watch list after her strong performance at this summer’s Omaha showcase. Her precise location helped whichever hitters she was paired with, but the fun didn’t stop there. Redden piloted Wayne High School this fall and had one of the highest assist totals among Nebraska underclassmen. Running the show is a tall task for younger players, but Redden has answered the call.

Redden is another Prep Dig Stock Up Showcase participant who has built so much positive momentum as a sophomore. She is hovering near the top of Nebraska’s assists leaderboards with 9.4 assists per set during Wayne’s 6-2 start. The Blue Devils lean on Redden in all six rotations, allowing the second-year setter to demonstrate her aptitude as a blocker. Wayne is vying for wildcard positioning already.
