Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a strong, fast, and intelligent player, while being a great teammate. I am always working to create effective plays by hustling my best to get to every ball I can and also finding open spots on the court to attack. Overall, I am very well rounded with my skills. I play 6 rotations on my school's varsity team. I am also aggressive at the net with my blocking and swing variety.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very joyful person. I love to laugh and have fun while also taking the game seriously. I have so much fun on the court and I love to be supportive & cheer for my teammates. I am also tough mentally. If I make a mistake I make note of how I can learn from it and be better the next play. I do not get frazzled by scores or bad plays. I am a confident player who is ready to come back anything.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I'm a leader with Camp Superhero, a youth volunteer program teaching the value of giving your time and talents to your community. I am also a part of Interact Club and Key Club at my school. I have acquired over 100 hours of volunteer service since my freshman year of high school. During this time, I have also received student of the week and achieved honor roll.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Volleyball has taught me many lessons about hard work, teamwork, and leadership. Growing up playing this sport I have learned how to work with a wide variety of different interests and personalities. I have developed so many friends. I have also learned how to be a positive and uplifting leader.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Although not significant challenge, time management is a challenge. Being involved in many things requires good discipline to mange all commitments. I continue to grow with time management as I continue high school.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that will help me grow and pursue my skills, interests, and a career. I want to keep playing because I love the game and I want to continue to meet people who share the love of volleyball with me. Having teammates creates a core group of girls that can rely on each other. That is important to me.
