How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m Sasha Shada-Pugh, a 5’11” middle blocker with an explosive vertical, a high court IQ, and an intense passion for the game. I thrive at the net, using my quick reads and aggressive blocking to shut down opponents while staying fast in transition to be a weapon on offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a high energy presence to every match, playing with intensity, focus, and a team-first mentality. I love the leadership aspect of volleyball—whether it’s firing up my teammates, making smart plays under pressure, or pushing myself to get better every day. I take pride in my work ethic and my ability to adapt and execute in high-stakes moments.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I have received Honors in Arts and have been recognized as a Scholar-Athlete for my dedication to both academics and athletics. Balancing high-level volleyball with my studies has been a priority for me, and I take pride in excelling both on the court and in the classroom.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my volunteer work with non-profit organizations, I’ve had the opportunity to develop strong leadership, teamwork, and community service skills. I'm looking for a college that offers both high-level academics and a strong volleyball program with great coaching. I want to be in an environment where I can push myself both intellectually and athletically, surrounded by teammates and coaches who are committed to growth and excellence. Finding a program that values both academic achievement and athletic development is important to me.
