Last year, I made special effort to watch Thi and her Shawnee Mission North teammates. I scouted their match at Mill Valley and was impressed by Thi’s play. I did not see her this past club season as I tend to focus on 15U and 14U teams during the club campaign. Thi is ranked No. 57 overall and is a talented defensive player wanting to play college ball.

The word that best describes Thi is that she is a grinder. I have seen her compete for her prep team and at a Prep Dig Showcase. She has played on prep teams and club teams that have not had a ton of success, but she still manages to shine enough on the court to get noticed. She is a solid self-advocate who loves the game. It is often difficult to compare her with other setters as she does not have any public stats. She would be a great addition to an NAIA program looking for a backup setter who will never complain and accept her role on the squad.

Thi showed some potential at the setter position. She will continue to develop and show some positive things with her play. I thought her strong suit was in spreading the ball around and keeping defenders at the net off-balance. As a 2027 prospect, she will get stronger and we will see her ability to set the ball across the floor more confidently.
