Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My name is Alyse and I'm a highly motivated and dedicated volleyball player in the 2027 class. On the court, I'm a dynamic player with excellent court awareness, quick hands, and exceptional footwork. I have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a competitive spirit that helps elevate my teammates. I'm comfortable running a 5-1 or 5-2 offense. I love to play fast.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'll work harder than every other player outside of practice to improve my skills. I love to play volleyball, but I also enjoy the work that needs to be put in. I'm ultra competitive and hate to lose, but I also am the first one to huddle up the team after a lost point and let them, next one.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor Roll, Church Youth Group, Cool Beans (school coffee shop)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've been named the captain of my club team the last 3 years in a row. I take my role as the setter very seriously, but at the same time I have fun on and off the court with my teammates. I love getting together with my teammates for quiet nights, game nights, movie nights, or heading to another game.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

This past high school season, I was put in a 6-2 rotation for the first time. Not being able to jump in the front row or take a 2nd ball and put it away was frustrating, but it allowed me to learn to put my sets to all spots of the floor and to get my teammates in a spot where they could get the kill. I had great connections with both of my middles, pin, and RS's throughout the year.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to be a part of college that has great culture. I want to play for coaches that will push me to get better, stronger, and faster every day. Whether the school is big or small, I'm looking for a group of girls and coaches that will be like family to me for the next 4 years. Academics are very important to me, and I plan on being a 3.8 - 4.0 student both in high school and college.
