About Khyler

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as focused on versatility and quick decision-making. I prioritize reading the game, anticipating the flow of play, and adapting quickly to my teammates’ strengths. I value communication on the court, ensuring that everyone is in sync, and I’m always looking to create opportunities for my hitters by mixing up my sets and keeping the defense off balance.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Staying composed under pressure and being focused on the big picture is vital. I pride myself on being a leader on the court, continuously encourage my teammates, and keep the energy high. I'm mentally strong and love to be challenged; high stake/fast paced situations are were I thrive. Keeping a calm composure, staying positive, and being ready to adapt is crutial to a successful match.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as the National Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As my team's captain, I've developed strong leadership skills by being the one my teammates can rely on for guidance, motivation, and support. This has helped me develop and know the importance of being an adaptable and selfless player. Outside of volleyball, I volunteer in the youth ministry at my church. Being a positive influence for the next generation is something I am passionate about.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that offers a competitive athletic environment and strong academics. I’m open to exploring different types of colleges, whether that’s a large university or a smaller school, as long as it has the resources and community that will help me thrive and reach my full potential.
