With the updated rankings being released yesterday, there are plenty of athletes who have made their case for their individual stock rise. Here are five, from five different areas of the state, that were meteoric since the last update in the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='274410' first='Addison' last='Makun'], 6-5 MB, Silver Creek, KIVA, Louisville commit

If there ever was a stock to rise these last few months, it's Miss Makun. Two years ago, she was an unknown big who was still putting all of the moving parts together. Now, without question, Addison has the size, skill and volleyball IQ to turn her stock rise into a D1 top-ten commitment. Her attack touch is north of ten feet, she glides when she approaches, and can defend from pin to pin with ease because of her length. This is a no-doubt recruiting win for the Cardinals, and Addison is only going to get better.

[player_tooltip player_id='487337' first='Camryn' last='McCollum'], 5-9 MB, Avon, Circle City, Memphis commit

I normally put kids this size that play middle a little lower on the rankings list simply because of their size AND their inability to play any other position. Attacking at over ten feet, it doesn't really matter that her size might be a disadvantage, because she eliminates it with her athleticism. Combine that jumping ability with her long arms, and she could feasibly play any position in the front row and be an advantage for the Tigers in the fall of '25.

[player_tooltip player_id='192110' first='Claire' last='Payne'], 6-1 MB, NorthWood, NIVA, Appalachian State commit

A strong attacking shoulder combined with quick and efficient footwork earned Miss Payne a commitment to App State. With the ability to hit in front of and behind the setter, her successes this past fall have carried over to the spring in earnest. Her length and size are also strengths, as defending from pin to pin should also carry over to the next level. She's a go-to attacker for her club team, and is always ready to hit.

[player_tooltip player_id='378035' first='Laura' last='Roeder'], 5-5 DS/L, Trinity Lutheran, Cougar, IUI commit

As a first-team All-State selection in class 1A, it goes without saying that Laura is the anchor defender college coaches covet at the next level. Committing to IUI (formerly IUPUI) is a huge win for the Jaguars, as their rebuild under coach Kroger continues with this great pickup in the back row. What a way to start, with a solid defender and reliable serve receive player from Seymour. Playing for a smaller club made her not as noticeable to anyone outside of the state of Indiana, which makes this commitment a steal for the Jaguars.

Bryn VanVleet, 5-10 OH, Seton Catholic, Academy

I had only seen Bryn play high school ball, and at Seton Catholic she's the kid that has to do everything at her 1A school. Six kills a set, hit every angle from the middle, receive every serve, yada yada. Fast-forward to this club season, and Miss VanVleet has been laying waste to every team she's seen at the open level of the MEPL here in Indiana and throughout the midwest. Her springy nature, ability to receive serve and knowledge of what shot to hit makes her look very next-level to this author. It's one thing to dominate other 1A athletes in the fall. It's completely another if you're continuing to hammer away at competition that's just as skilled as you are, and with ease and athleticism to boot. Oh, and by the way, she's still available for the fall of '25.

With the updated rankings being released yesterday, there are plenty of athletes who have made their case for their individual stock rise. Here are five, from five different areas of the state, that were meteoric since the last update in the fall.
