Bluegrass Tournament DS/Setter Standouts

Ward constantly moves her feet anticipating where balls are going. This allows her to make strong passes to the setters in the front row. Even does a good job picking up serves that carom off nets. Ward adds nice, strong serving to her game. Davis is really solid at serve reception. The setters can rely on her to start a good offensive rhythm. She has a hard serve to the back line and sideline making it hard for defenders to ready. The James Madison commit is also not afraid to pound balls when needed making her a solid all-around player. Davis primarily plays defensive specialist for KIVA 17 Red. She gives a tremendous effort going for balls every play. Green makes good passes to set up hitters when needed and has a good jump serve. That's a big reason Sipe is receiving interest from colleges. Sipe consistently moves all over the court tracking down the balls. She has nice quick sets to the middle, pins and a solid back set. Those include cross sets. Jacquay has excellent arc on her sets. She mainly sets for her club team, but has shown the ability to play a number of positions with her versatility. She slides into good position on her sets helping hitters put balls down. She can set a quick one and do back sets including backwards setter dump. She runs all over the court anticipating balls not afraid to dive on the ground. Fuller is also a solid blocker sliding her feet well and timing opposing hitters. Fuller smacks down free balls hard.
