I listed Miranda as an outside, but she’s a middle on Circle’s 18 White (read: 18-3) squad. Big and physical, she’s probably the strongest out of the five listed here. More of a late bloomer to the game of volleyball, Miss Woodard comes from a non-traditional volleyball program in high school where very few of her classmates play club ball. Her physicality has helped her develop into the solid middle she is today, and will be a project for a college looking for an athletic and strong middle who can spend time on the right pin as well.

I can’t speak for others, but I just love big and physical middles that use power and strength to overtake opposing blockers. Yes, there is something to being quick, but what about the raw talent and strength kids that are still available in February? Miranda comes from a not-so-traditional volleyball school, so she’s still hasn’t seen a lot of interest come her way. In her defense, starting the game late shouldn’t hold her back from colleges showing interest in an athletic stud that can jump well and terminate with pace. You can find Miranda on court 4 at 1p on Saturday.

Seen more as a middle on Circle’s 18 White squad, Miranda is a big and physical three-rotation attacker that has more than enough athleticism to make a difference at the next level. Raw and somewhat new to the sport, Miss Woodard has that strength and physicality that isn’t normally seen in this stage of the recruiting process. Regardless of what your needs are for the fall, Miranda’s ability to attack high and hard with pace on the ball would be best suited for a school needing a three-rotation right side or an M2.

Found on Circle City’s 18 White (18-3) squad is a big and raw athlete that excels at attacking off of two feet. Although not from a traditional volleyball school, Miranda has clearly shown her strength to be her, well, STRENGTH when attacking out of the middle. Big and broad, Miss Woodard hammers high and hard on most every attack, and should do even more of that now that she has a club setter getting her the ball regularly. I’d like to see a little more net defense from her, as all I have recorded are attacks. No matter what, Miranda brings raw, athletic talent to the volleyball court and would be a nice addition for any school looking for a physical M2.
