USA Jr Nationals, which will be held in Las Vegas in early July, is the ultimate test to the end of the season as it will bring together all of the teams who have earned a bid to participate. These wonderful teams have proven themselves through a very long and grueling club season and will compete against other top-notch teams who have earned the right to play in this prestigious tourney. We will be highlighting teams and individual players from the 16 Liberty division that we think you should be watching during the tourney in this series of articles. Let's take a look at a few names to know!

San Antonio Force 16 Darkside

SA Force is led by head coach Evan Case. They won their bid by getting second place at the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier, which is widely regarded as one of the toughest qualifiers in the nation. I was highly impressed with libero [player_tooltip player_id='507926' first='Cayleigh' last='Monson']'s ability to create amazing angles and hold her form well after contact. This attention to maintain her angle after contact is one reason why I think she has awesome “coachability” and focus on technique. Right side hitter Kamryan Johnson has some very long arms that she puts to work both on offense and defense. Her arm swing looked very electric when I watched them play at Lone Star. Another player who was very impressive to me was middle Taylor Fenton. I love how laser focused she is on the opposing team while her team is serving. Her form at base is strong while a lot of other middles just dangle their arms nonchalantly. If she keeps this kind of mentality while playing, she will succeed. True scouts/recruiters admire players who focus on technique like this. She was also a wall at the net penetrating it well while blocking opposing hitters and scores at will by running a variety of routes. She is one of their “go to” players that opposing coaches should know where they are in each rotation. Setter Valarie Wadas does a great job of communicating routes to her hitters at all times. You can see her high volleyball IQ throughout her play. Left side Charlotte Voss is a huge weapon for this squad when she subs in to the front row. She has a strong frame and lots of power that she unleashes regularly on opposing defenses. Keep your eye on them as they look to make a solid run at nationals.

Coast 16 Davis

Coast won their bid with a perfect undefeated record and winning the championship at the Red Rock Rave National Qualifier in Las Vegas. They are led by head coach Davis Ransom and have some great finishes in big tournaments this season. I absolutely love how setter [player_tooltip player_id='391108' first='Caitlin' last='Prior'] moves the ball around to all of her hitters. She is exceptionally good at pushing the ball against the flow of the pass when it brings her to the left side of the court. The ball shoots to her opposite hitter with lots of pace to create an amazing one on one situation against the block so well. She is not afraid to play front row and battle hitters at the net either as she runs the 5-1 offense. [player_tooltip player_id='518063' first='Dylan' last='Wilson'] has an absolute cannon for a right arm that obliterates that set. If the defense does not commit two blockers to her on the right side, she usually wins that battle due to her amazing power. Outside hitter Sophia Willet plays all the way around in six rotations and shows off her ball control on both sides of the ball. There is not a thing that she doesn't excel at on the court. Middle Grace Passman runs a multitude of routes for this squad and does a great job scoring for them. She is quick on the slide and also while driving her feet hard into the ground for the quick in front of the setter. Pin attacker [player_tooltip player_id='391086' first='Olivia' last='Bryant'] is another solid scorer for this talented team. She has long arms and tons of athleticism as she glides through the air to score in bunches if her team needs her to. I think this team has a chance to do some serious damage this summer, so keep your eyes on them as they push the limits.

Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite teams and athletes that will be attending nationals. If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at Michael@prepdig.com. Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends. Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook. Thanks for following Prep Dig Family!
