About Kailey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am scrappy on defense and love going for the short balls. I try to get every ball up and better every ball. I am solid on serve receive and love doing everything I can to help my setters be able to feed the hitters.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have gone through a lot of adversity to get to where I am today and am ready to do anything it takes to play at the next level. I truly love volleyball and want to be as good as I can become.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received Principals Honor Roll at school for my GPA, been part of varsity volleyball for both beach and indoor since my freshman year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed teamwork by learning that some things in this sport and just out of my hands, so I need to learn to jive with my team. I also consider myself a great leader and try to set an example for my teammates and younger kids around me. I love undergoing challenges and love forward to growing as a player aswell.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had a serious concussion during this past club season, and it took me a second to step back to get back to the level I was playing at before my injury. I also had to rediscover my love and passion for the sport and overcome the fear of failing.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a D1 school with a big campus atmosphere, preferable a school in a power conference and one that can give me a big and memorable college experience.
