We are just over a week out from the start of practice in Wisconsin and the preseason buzz is already ringing. With only a number of practices before the first scrimmage, followed by the first play date directly after and before you know it within the first two weeks some teams have close to ten matches played. With in that time there will be some who will rise on the radar, always exciting to find new players. Here are the returners, but also those who will have a shot of being able to carry the All State accolade.

Maddie Weyker, Brookfield Central

Anna Wolf, River Falls

Who Is On The Radar

Maddi Kealy - River Falls

The Senior setter from River Falls suffered a broken foot the last few weeks of the season and was left watching the state tournament in a boot. Kealy will be back to run the high powered offense of the Wildcats. Halle Olson and Anna Wolf were Honorable Mention picks and they will be back on the path this season with big goals ahead of them.

Amber Bischel - Germantown

The Ole Miss recruit is a gritty, scrappy libero. Germantown has a lot of athleticism and in order for the machine to work a first contact is essential. Bischel commands the backrow with her ability to communicate, pick up the tips, and is always someone that servers will avoid with her ability to put a serve on point.

Taylor Vanden Berg - Appleton North

Vanden Berg is extremely offensive as a setter and physical at the net. She will have a lot of all around stats running a 5-2 or potentially a 5-2 where she can set the front row and attack while MSU-Mankato recruit, Brooke Bolwerk will set as well. Vanden Berg is committed to Wingate in North Carolina who was in the national tournament in 2018.

Alexis Boling - Waukesha West

Boling is pure power, she can hit the split on the block, go high hands, or just find that seam that is just enough for her to go through. She was a key part in the Wolverines run to the state semifinals.

Alyse Drifka - Slinger

Drifka is committed to SIUE and will be the type of player who can do a little bit of everything for her high school team. She can set, but also hit, and is a solid defender.

Brooke Clement - Bay Port

Bay Port is going to sneak up on teams this year and that is in large part to Clement who is an aggressive attacker. She is climbing up in the ranks as available outside hitters in the Class of 2020 and will be a major steal at the next level.

Payton Addink - Sun Prairie

Addink had a bit of a breakout year for the Cardinals enroute to the state tournament on the pin. Over the summer, Addink committed to Minnesota-Duluth and will continue to rise in the Class of 2021.

Jordan Berglin - Pewaukee

Berglin is unrecognizable from her Freshman year. Early on she had the ability to jump, but her skills and athleticism have only improved where she is a ferocious and terminal attacker. Her high contact point allows her to hit a variety of shots and angles.

Lakyn Graves - Sussex Hamilton

Hamilton has the defense, they have the pin hitters, they have the setting, but their middles could be the deciding factor in how the season goes for the Chargers. Graves is physical and will be a huge presence at the net.

Maleah Howe - Oconomowoc

Howe is going to be one of the top Sophomores in the state and will play for a team who will be a state title contender. Solid all around in the front and backrow, Howe just finds a way to score points.

Brianna Cantrell - Appleton North

Cantrell has flashes of greatness that is comparable to the transformation of Addison Barnes of Neenah when she went from a role playing outside hitter as a Freshman to an All State Outside Hitter enroute to a state title. Cantrell hits a heavy ball and is able to play well above the net.
