AAU Championships: Top Defensive Prospects

All week, we've been bringing you content from the electrifying atmosphere of the AAU Girls' Junior National Volleyball 16's Championship in Orlando, Florida. Over a hundred courts were alive with action, as scouts and coaches observed looking for the next promising prospects. Young athletes showcased their skills, with long arms constructing walls at the net and defensive specialists/liberos sacrificing their bodies to keep the ball in play.

Their standout performances demand your attention. As college coaches passed the courts, whether it was someone yelling "Roof!" or the crowd wincing at the impact of the ball, it was more entertaining than the thunderous roars of Florida thunder, heard over all the whistles.

Here are some defensive prospects you won't want to miss.

[player_tooltip player_id='475355' first='Jordan' last='Kennedy'] had a lights-out tournament, showcasing a well-rounded game that excelled in both offense and defense. Her quickness and discipline, especially when low to the ground, allow her to make crucial plays. From the first time I watch Camy play this season to Orlando, she has improved so much. Camy has had an incredible season, culminating in honors such as Student Scholar Athlete of the Year and MVP at Harvard-Westlake. Her athletic achievements extend beyond volleyball, with accolades in gymnastics, tennis, and track. Academically, she maintains a 3.7 GPA at one of the most rigorous high schools and has earned the Presidential Award for Community Service.
